Waterfalls of Dreams

We come across these beautiful waterfalls on one of our hikes north of highway 7 near Havelock.
The waterfalls were amazing but the rock outcrops were totally unbelievable! I am glad not many know of this place or be ruined by to many visitors. If you like to find it send me an email and can give directions.

Autumn Colors From Old Fire Tower Elliot Lake

We getup before sunrise to travel to the old fire tower over looking Elliot Lake Ontario my home town.
Was really cool to see the clouds swirl around and watch the sun rise. This is in the fall and the colours of the leaves were magnificent to see. Was a cool morning but worth it! enjoy and share. Please comment.

Exploring an Old Mine Site

I travel back to Elliot Lake with Pray and go to an old abandoned mine site I explored before when younger.
The mine is called Bi-Ore mine that once did copper mining. It was a large operation with a couple of shafts. The entrances are buried now due to the dangers of collapses. I found the evidence of the buildings and the shafts. Explored around the area for any relics. Was nice to come back and got many comments from this video of the people that once lived there.

Miners Memorial Elliot lake

Rapidly one of my best viewed videos! This is in Elliot Lake at the Miners Memorial. Very touching video and the music does its justice. I did tear up when reading the inscriptions so please watch the video from start to finish as its worth it. Remember all the miners that have died to give us what we have now it would be the same as are armed forces of past, present and future. Please Share this to your family and friends.

Serpent River a Journey Back in Time

On the way back home from a trip to Elliot Lake Ontario we stop a Serpent River on Highway 17. I passed this hundreds of times but never stopped to take a close look at the river and the falls. This be a nice stop for people traveling across the province or country. A great place for a picnic or rest. The river and falls are very nice and can climb the rocks to see them close up. Bring your fishing rod as the locals say good fishing!! Also it appears to be a hydro dam or fish ladder on opposite side. Was a nice stop and no regrets.

Searching for Ghost Towns

Looking for ghost towns in Eastern Ontario near Lake Ontario is a problem as so much development these days. We did finally found one that suited our search even though we have traveled by it so many times and didn't know it was a ghost town until we did some research of abandoned places. This is Westlyville and the buildings are abandoned due to contaminated fill in and around the area so more or less a ghost town with an old church, cemetery and school house. Tranquil walk through the cemetery looking at the inscriptions and viewing the scenery. Enjoy and Share.

The Amazing Chutes Falls!

We travel to Chutes Falls near Massey Ontario. I seen these falls when was young but never ventured to the top of them or this close. A real gem to see along this highway 17 in Northern Ontario. We were alone as the park was closed but gates were open. Did see some dog walkers about. The falls were beautiful and a strong current. We enjoyed this visit and hope to come back in near future.

Jail Bait (Ghost Encountered)

Here is a good Halloween video of our adventure at the Old Cobourg Jail that is now sort of a museum. Pray was to scared to venture into the basement where some of the jail/prison remains. I used her camera and mine to vlog the areas of the cells and reception rooms. I did feel a presence and when the cell door closed on its own I did feel the hairs go up on my neck. The cell door is very heavy and won't move without a good push. Enjoy and share to your friends. Metal Detecting at old Ruins

We return to the old ruins in the forest near Cobourg and bring our metal detectors to search for relics. The area is littered with old foundations and some are large mansions from the past. The local historian says they date before the Civil War. The Prince of Wales once visited and stayed in one of these mansions.
We only found one relic of an iron plate for a boiler that I kept. Due to the rain we stopped searching and hope to come back again before the ground freezes or in the spring. Enjoy the video and please subscribe and share. Visit our website at www.chotseeorganic.com for more adventures.

Lost in the Marsh

We visit Presqu'ile Provincial Park Marsh Boardwalk that is located between Brighton and Cobourg Ontario.
A much beautiful place on this cool afternoon. Since it is in the late fall beginning of December there are few people about mostly walking there dogs. You are to pay to get access to the Park but we didn't and was warned by the ranger next time we would be fined. The park is very beautiful and a must see. I did this one video of only the marsh and hope to add a couple more of our afternoon.
