Thai Wife on Thin Ice!!

Pray and I took a short drive to Port Hope to see if anyone was fishing down near the lake and Ganaraska River. In the YouTube video you see Pray slowly walking on the Ice as the fishermen tell her the ice is very thin and to be careful. I stay on shore as I did not want more weight on the ice haha. The one guy who has caught the rainbow trout had to strip down his snowsuit to grab it out of the auger hole as I guess the fish line was either snagged on the ice or the hole to small haha.
Pray got some great photos of the Rainbow Trout.

Sandy Flat Sugar Bush meets Thai Wife on Ice

Pray and I visited Sandy Flat Sugar Bush for their annual Maple Syrup Festival near Warkworth Ontario. We had to drive to the town and take a bus to the Sugar Bush as parking at the Sugar Bush was small and so many hundreds of people were going to this event. My Activeon action camera for taking Youtube videos acted up and I unfortunately clicked off the microphone. Did not realize until I uploaded the videos. So most of the video is with John's voice over. The Sugar Bush was a fun event for the whole family. We took a wagon drawn by horses around the Sugar Bush which was Pray's first time. I talked to one of the workers and he was going out to tap another tree. As shown in the video we went to the Sugar Shack and I talked to the attendant who was feeding the fire and watching the evaporator and temperatures. Funny thing is he just got back from Thailand the day before and was really jet lagged! Was a nice guy and plans to go back again soon. We ventured out to watch the sap from the trees go through the hoses and into the tanks for storage. Amazing how much sap is collected to make little syrup. 40:1 at times (Sap to Syrup) The Sugar Bush has 5000 taps and sells the syrup at a reasonable price. We walked into the Sugar Bush for Pray to take photos and was hilarious as you watch the video. I must say she is getting very good at taking photos!!

60 yr old Coke Bottle found in Tree Stump??

We took a early evening hike on the shores of Lake Ontario near our home to visit the area we YouTube a week ago with all the ice on the stumps and trees that lay by the water and waves.
The last few days were much warmer and all the ice has gone.
While walking on the shore with Pray taking photos I notice an old bottle sticking half way out of a stump in soil and roots. I had to pull it out with some force as it has been lodged in there for awhile it appears. The bottle is from the Coca Cola Ltd. and marked with a 56 on bottom. Looking on the internet I think it is around 60 yrs old. Good fine!! If you have comments on it please do below.

Thai Wife Hike & Noodle Soup

In this YouTube Video we head out for a picnic in the Forest about 45 minute drive north of home.
The hiking trail was steep but the weather was nice for a good walk. Pray made sure she packed some food as I packed some of our Thailand Tea! We walk for a couple km until time to take a break for lunch. We found a place to set up camp as a couple logs and a track from ATV was easy to get to this lay down area. In the distance we could hear ATV's but nothing else not even birds chirping. The air was clean and the atmosphere was beautiful. A very nice place to just sit and relax. Pray began to make her Hot Pot Noodle soup as shown in the video. We hear the the ATV's come closer and then stop near us as the main trail was blocked by a downed tree. (Reason the tracks to our camp site) The ATV's head toward us to avoid the downed tree and almost knock over the Noodle Soup getting Pray very mad!! We sat had our soup and tea which was great!! I wandered around the camp and found an old lean-too that was buillt years ago maybe for camping or hunting? We are km from any roads  so could not be just kids doing this. We pack up and ready to go and my GPS does not work with the trees around. I make a guess to go left but Pray says go right. Right is Right!! We make it back safe to the car exhausted but feel good from the hike.

Bat Cave Psu Pha Man Thailand Thai Wife on Ice

During our final days in Thailand this trip 2015 near Khon Kaen the family wanted to take a trip to the Bat Cave at Psu Pha Man. I had no idea where we were going and just took it in as I do most of the time. (Just let it flow all comes out okay) We arrive at the Bat Cave before dusk and I walk around looking at the things to see. I meet a monk who spoke English we talked about the cave and where I was from. I am the only westerner here and everyone is watching me and smiling. Many kids here from school buses as you hear in video. I see the cave where the bats are to come out from and it reminds me of a woman's.... (Photos)
We sat on blankets to wait and I drank beer as the family ate (again!)
I did not expect much but when the bats started coming out it was totally amazing and they made weird patterns in the sky and clouds of bats filled the air. Had to be millions!
This is something you all need to see. It lasts for about 45 minutes. Thailand free entertainment!!
