MUAY THAI 

Known as  “The Art of Eight Limbs”; Muay Thai uses eight points of contact to the body that mimics weapons of war. The hands become the swords knives or daggers; the shins and forearms are the shields and are used against blows like armor. Both fighters use their legs and arms with grappling to take down their opponent. 

The history of Muay Thai can also  to the middle of the 16th century. During the battles between the Burmese (presently Myanmar) Konbaung Dynasty and Siam (Presently Thailand)

During this time a fighter  Nai Khanomtom was captured and he was given freedom if he would fight for it. The Burmese knew of his skills as an excellent hand to hand combatant as he won the match easily.  

He was freed by his captors and returned home to Siam a hero. Nai Khanomtom fighting style became to be known as Siamese Style Boxing which is now known as Muay Thai

A real climb to The Stairway to Heaven

A camping trip to Bon Echo and we come across this trail to the top of the cliffs. Amazing views and a good hike. Stairway to Heaven as it felt climbing the stairs. Once your at the top you find yourself looking over the lake and an amazing view.

Bon Echo Provincial Park is a provincial park is located  in South Eastern Ontario north of highway 7 and not far  north of the town of Kaladar. Cloyne is the closest community with ample shopping needs. 
Bon Echo is surrounded by numerous lakes and most important is Mazinaw Lake, the second deepest lake in Ontario.

The Best Waterfalls you will not find!

These secret waterfalls I found when doing a Google Earth review of an area we wanted to go hiking in.

Somewhere between Peterborough and Bancroft you will find these beautiful waterfalls. Not many people know of them as they are not marked and only word of mouth to know of them. We walked through the forest on crossing trails and past woodcraft camp sites to get here.

The Amazing Sanctuary of Truth in Thailand

The Sanctuary of Truth is an unbelievable experience! The temple is made of hand crafted wood.



It stands over 100 meters with many rooms inside of increment carvings. Situated on the shores of Rachvate Cape Tumbon Naklea in Chon Buri Province not far from Pattaya   Thailand. Visiting this temple we wear hard hats as construction above is ongoing, but don't worry it is safe to walk around and take photos or videos of this magnificent place. It is a working piece of art. Nothing in the world like it.

I hope all who tour Thailand come see this place. Cost is very cheap for seeing the next Wonder of the World.

10 Things Not to Do in Thailand

10 Things Not to Do in Thailand (1)

1) Try to never point or touch anyone with your foot.

Reason is to Thais the bottom of the foot is the most dirtiest place.

2) When you use the toilet in Thailand you always find this small hose behind the toilet?

Do not use it to wash the floor. It is to wash your ass!

3) Don't go around and touch peoples heads (children and adults) its the most cleanest place on a Thais body and impolite.

4) Do not speak loud in public as it is disrespectful to Thais

5) Do not expect a car or motorcycle to stop when you are crossing the road! Wait till its clear then run like hell!

6) When walking in public rather than the beach areas keep your tops on (men) as its disrespectful to Thais.

7) Do not talk anything negative about the King and Royal Family in Thailand you may end up in jail!!

8) If taking a taxi always use the ones with the Meter!

9)  When visiting a Buddhist Temple do not wear shorts (men and woman) cover up your top & legs.

10) Do not touch the monks or stand over them.
